Gametitle-LHThe following is based on Lionheart and is not part of the Fallout franchise.
The ability to fight with any weapon wielded by one hand, such as a sword or a mace.— Game manual, Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader

One-Handed Melee is a Lionheart skill.

This represents your ability to use and fight with any weapon that needs one hand to wield, such as a sword or a mace. Those who specialize in one-handed weapons may not be as strong as Unarmed or Two-Handed Melee fighters, but they have the advantage of being able to carry a shield. When one chooses between One-Handed and Two-Handed Melee, the choice is between higher AC versus higher attack power. You rely on your ability to prevent damage, rather than eliminating enemies to minimize damage. One-handed weapons are also faster and lighter than their larger cousins. A major advantage to One-Handed Melee versus Unarmed combat is that the fighter can switch between Slashing and Crushing weapons to take advantage of enemy weaknesses.[1]
