The Old State House is a location in Goodneighbor in 2287. It is the town hall of the settlement and the headquarters of the Neighborhood Watch ruled by mayor John Hancock. Moreover, the structure serves as residence for some of Goodneighbor's inhabitants.
Layout
Old State House is located north upon entering Goodneighbor across from the shop Kill or Be Killed. The building has four floors, from the basement to the second floor. The Third Rail, which is located in a former subway station, lies under the basement and can not be accessed from here.
Ground floor
The ground floor comprises an entrance hall with a spiral staircase in the middle and two opposite exits, one leading to the south and one to the north where the central place is located. The staircase is guarded by two Neighborhood Watchers. In the other directions are four additional rooms, one of which is inhabited by a drifter.
First floor
The spiral staircase leads both upwards and downwards. The first floor consists of four rooms also and is as well guarded by two Neighborhood Watchers. The easternmost room has an exit to the balcony where Hancock gives a speech. On the other side is Hancock's living room that includes his personal terminal and where he often can be found. On each encounter he is protected by his bodyguard Fahrenheit.
Second floor
One floor up are three more rooms. The one in the middle serves as a bedroom for three drifters.
Basement
The basement is mostly empty. In one corner there is a holding cell which can be accessed without a key.

Behind the scenes
The location is based on the real-world Old State House, a museum and one of the oldest public buildings in Boston. The two buildings appear to be nearly identical.
