Oh, Baby!unique weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.
is aBackground[]
Previously owned by an unnamed Nightkin of Jacobstown who died with it fighting night stalkers, Oh, Baby! has been used extensively and modified by its former owner to increase its power. Spot rust has covered the entire weapon and the grip padding on the handle is entirely gone, despite that, it still functions better than a regular super sledge.
Characteristics[]
Compared to the standard super sledge, Oh, Baby! deals more damage per strike at a higher attack speed, thus having a higher damage-per-second (DPS) value. It also deals higher critical hit damage, costs less AP, has the same durability, weighs the same, and has a higher caps value.
Special attack[]
Oh, Baby! has a special Mauler attack that does 50% damage in V.A.T.S. at the cost of 8 more action points, but has a chance to knock down enemies (requires a Melee Weapons skill of 50).

- Note: Melee weapons do double normal damage in V.A.T.S.
It is possible to execute Mauler outside of V.A.T.S. (without the required Melee Weapons skill of 50 to perform the move) by initiating a power attack (hold attack button) while moving forward.
Durability[]
Oh, Baby! can successfully strike about 495 times from full condition before breaking.
Variants[]
- Super sledge - the standard variant found throughout the Mojave Wasteland.
- Mean super sledge - a unique non-playable weapon used by Mean Sonofabitch in Westside.

Location[]
The weapon is found in Charleston Cave, near Jacobstown, and located in the far southwest open area of the cave, accessible via tunnels from the north and east. It is lying on the ground near the west wall, directly west of the eastern tunnel entrance, next to the dead nightkin that has the chewed Stealth Boy necessary for completing Guess Who I Saw Today.
Notes[]
- When fully repaired, each successful attack reduces the weapon's value by around 18 caps.
- Finding the weapon before starting Guess Who I Saw Today can be difficult as the dim lighting of the cave and the absence of the nightkin corpse means it's not as easy to spot.
Bugs[]
- When given to a companion, they will tend to use Oh, Baby! even when their companion wheel is set to use ranged attacks.[verified]
- Oh, Baby! may not spawn.[verified]
- When Mauler is used in V.A.T.S., it can make the enemy fly upwards of 40 feet in the air. Any attacks that you stacked up in the V.A.T.S. sequence will still hit.[verified]
- Lily Bowen, she will hold both this and her Vertibird blade at the same time. This will also remove it from her inventory.[verified] If given to
- If Oh, Baby! is used by a companion, the weapon's condition will gradually go down and eventually break as opposed to other weapons given to companions.[verified]
