Oak Creek was an independent farming town until brahmin barons from the Hub decided they wanted the land. Mercenaries were hired to harass the town and force the inhabitants to abandon their farms. The barons justified their actions by accusing the townsfolk of being squatters. A mercenary named Norton took part in the harassment of the town.
