Oak Creek is a post-War settlement in New California and a mentioned-only location in Fallout: New Vegas.
Background[]
Once an independent farming town, Oak Creek experienced an upheaval when NCR-backed brahmin barons decided they wanted the land it was built on. Mercenaries were hired by Senator Morales to harass the town and force the inhabitants to abandon their farms while the barons justified their actions by accusing the townsfolk of being squatters. The mercenary Norton took part in the harassment campaign and did a good enough job that Morales later hired his crew to find and harass the super mutant enclave at Jacobstown in the Mojave Wasteland out of a xenophobic belief they were connected to attacks on NCR-affiliated brahmin farms.[1]
Blake, a trader employed by the New Vegas branch of the Crimson Caravan, was originally from Oak Creek, but left to join with the company after the barons' successful takeover.[2]
Appearances[]
Oak Creek is mentioned only in Fallout: New Vegas.
Behind the scenes[]
Oak Creek is based on the real-world Oak Creek in Inyo County, California.

Blake: "A little place in the NCR called Oak Creek. Used to be a farming town until it got taken over by ranchers. I didn't want to herd Brahmin for a living, so I signed on with the Crimson Caravan and headed east. Not much to tell, really."
