The Nuka-Breaker is a unique weapon added with the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Gun Runners' Arsenal.
Characteristics[]
A two-handed blunt melee weapon consisting of a partially functioning Nuka-Cola neon sign mounted on a pole with an electric cord wrapped around the top, and tape at the bottom, still partially functional owing to a self-contained power supply. It deals significant damage per strike, deals the second-highest amount of critical hit damage (along with the cattle prod) at the second-highest critical chance multiplier of all blunt melee weapons, but also has the third-highest AP cost. It also has the highest caps value of all blunt melee weapons.
Special attack[]
The Nuka-Breaker has a special Nuka-Break attack that does regular damage in V.A.T.S., but at the cost of 7 more action points (requires a Melee skill of 50).

It is possible to execute Nuka-Break outside of V.A.T.S. (without the required Melee skill of 50 to perform the move) by initiating a power attack (hold attack button) while moving forward.
Durability[]
The Nuka-Breaker can successfully strike about 995 times from full condition before breaking.

Behind the scenes[]
- The Nuka-Breaker was created as a nod to the 2011 fan-made short film and webseries Fallout: Nuka Break created by Zack Finfrock. The Fallout: Nuka Break team put a Nuka-Breaker prop in the third episode of the series after seeing it in a pre-release screenshot of Gun Runners' Arsenal, before they were aware that Obsidian was referencing their series.[2][3]
- The Nuka-Breaker was also featured briefly in the fifth and sixth episode of the second season of Nuka Break.
- The overall design of the Nuka-Breaker sign is similar to traditional neon Coca-Cola signs. The use of a stylized cursive for the word 'Nuka' and the bottle tilted next to it. The slogan itself "Take a Nuka Break!" is similar to an old Coca-Cola slogan "Pause...Drink Coca-Cola".

"In a recent trip to Obsidian, we were luck enough to find out the sign was a nod to us. But we put it in the episode as a nod to them, before we knew that. It's all a big circle of nodding."
