No place like home is a paper note in Fallout 76, introduced in the Expeditions: Atlantic City update part two, America's Playground.

Location[]

The note can be found at the city hall in the flooded city center of Atlantic City, on a diagnostic cart in the mayor's office.

Transcript[]

Tim,

When does helping become hurting? I know you have this "vision" with that hero complex of yours that you're going to save Atlantic City from collapsing in on itself and everyone will live happily ever after. But do you know where people live happily ever after? Fairytales. And if you take a look around, it's pretty damn obvious we aren't living in one.

I want to go home. I want to go back to the way things used to be. I'm not one adverse to change, but I've got eyes. I can see we're fighting a losing battle here. It's not weak to give up. You're falling into a sunk cost fallacy thinking you need to be mayor til the day you die just 'cause you've done it this long.

Half the battle is knowing when to let go.

Love,
Frieda
