New horizons, Pete is a paper note in Fallout 76, introduced in the Burning Springs update.
Location[]
This note can be found on the corpse of a dead cultist propped up against a truck on the road, along Route 7 past the Silver Bridge, heading up to Checkpoint Canyon.

Pete,
I know I said I was just gonna rob these idiots and bail, but they're working on something that's caught my eye.
There's some old fella in charge here. Calls himself Father Lucas. Delusional nut, but people listen to him, and he's got his posse building a bridge connecting to the west. He said he'd been chosen, and that we have to 'spread the gospel' and 'expand the empire' of the Mothman.
Crazy old crank, ain't he?
Anyway, enough about that. You should come here and help with the bridge. We'll do the work, take what we can and then get the hell outta dodge together. There's a new life waiting for us in Ohio.

Behind the scenes[]
During early versions of the Public Test Server for Burning Springs, this note was located on the corpse of an impaled cultist behind the truck. As of PTS patch v0.2.1911.0, this note has been moved to a newly added corpse propped up against the truck on the road.
