Mom is the proprietor of Mom's Diner in the Den's east side in Fallout 2.
Background[]
A kindly-looking robust older woman, Mom is usually found cooking and cleaning her small diner in the East Side of the Den, with unbreakable cheer and smile.[1] She is a warm, caring soul building a community of good natured people in the Den. She knows a lot about the Den and refrains from judging people. As long as everyone behaves themselves while in her establishment, she treats them like her own kin (thus the name).
Mom offers the best cooking north of New Reno and that's not an exaggeration. She knows how to turn anything into food, but her specialty remain centaur chops. Of course, with the supply issues with the food, she usually just has to serve what meat is available: Rat meat.

Quests[]
- Deliver a meal to Smitty for Mom: Mom is too busy so she asks the Chosen One to bring Smitty his meal.
- Find Vic the Trader: Should the Chosen One ask, Mom will reveal that Vic is being held by Metzger.
Effects of player's actions[]
- If spoken to after Metzger is killed, she declares that she is happy that he is dead.
- Eating too much of her food will make her refuse to serve the player character for one day.

Notes[]
Mom is one of seemingly few people who can recall knowledge, and even the taste, of chicken, as she notes radscorpion en croute as tasting "like chicken".
