The player character would be able to mine for coal dust and/or coal gravel. The mining would be tedious work, but it would provide raw materials for crafting ammunition; the coal dust and coal gravel (likely after being reduced into carbon) could be combined with the nitrate from bat guano to craft gunpowder. The mining could also be done as part of a deal with the ghouls of the Reservation, who need coal.
