Private Miller is a deceased private of the United States Army in Appalachia in 2103, found in the Fake Gold Bars random encounter.
Background
Miller was a member of the 3rd Company, which helped deal with the gold bullion being shipped to Vault 79. He was assigned three fake impure gold bars by the Transport and Storage department in order to test what he claimed was an improved packing and transport design.[1]
In reality, Miller saw an opportunity to make a profit. He stole the fake gold bars and attempted to pass them off as pure gold to his associate Tom in exchange for a tidy sum.[2] Tom, however, sent his robot to carry out the deal, which led to the demise of both Miller and the robot, either as a result of the robot uncovering his con or as a result of the Great War interrupting the deal.
