Michael was a janitor at the Abraxodyne Chemical Complex in Pittsburgh.
Background[]
As a janitor, Michael swept floors and cleaned up small spills until the company began storing toxic byproducts of an experimental drain cleaner in "his" part of the building, and he had to wear a hazmat suit just to do his job.[1] At some point, the company began removing the barrels of byproducts, and Michael claimed his "prayers were answered" and began cleaning the leaked goo.[2] Later, Michael overheard that the company director of operations, Edgar Clemmon, was being fired for illegally dumping the toxic barrels, but said he would be satisfied with any managerial changes so long as he got a new floor buffer.[3]
