Meditations on tempering is a paper note in Fallout 76, introduced in the Burning Springs update.
Location[]
Two copies of this note can be found at the Ash Cave:
- One can be found on a table in a northwestern guard post in the central area.
- One can be found on top of a console in the throne room toward the back of the cave area.
Transcript[]
"When you were cast into this Wasteland you were unfit for survival. Your skin was soft, your eyes shied from the glare of the sun, and the emissions of the killing electromagnetic radiation. You were weak. Not yet tempered.
And yet, hope remains: that the untested may yet be tempered. That they may be saved!
Hope they may clad themselves in poly-laminate and ablative ceramics, that they may drench their organs in life-enhancing pharmaceuticals! A homecoming, a rebirth! A hope that the untested may prove themselves fit!"
