The medical scanner is a quest item in Fallout 76, introduced in the Wastelanders update.

These scanners are used by the medical staff at Foundation, particularly Aubrie Willem, who considers the scanners critical to his work.[1] During the daily quest Vital Equipment, they may be recovered by the player character using the Foundation property tracker.
