Medical Malpractice is a non-automatic pistol in Fallout 76, first introduced with the Wild Appalachia update. It was made available for crafting by a plan from Daily Ops with the Locked & Loaded update.

Background[]

Medical Malpractice is a .44 pistol variant manufactured by Red Raptor Firearms, a company based out of Austin, Texas.[1]

Characteristics[]

The current craftable version of Medical Malpratice visually sports a unique black paintjob with a first aid symbol near the release latch and its wooden grips being a darker brown color, or a black and red two-tone finish if rubber grips are applied to the revolver. If a reflex sight is attached, it appears in a red painted color. Medical Malpractice is assigned the Medic's, +50% V.A.T.S. hit chance and -25% V.A.T.S. cost legendary effects.

Notes[]

  • This weapon cannot be traded, sold to an NPC vendor, or listed on a player vendor machine. Dropping this weapon will cause it to be destroyed, although it can be crafted again using the learned recipe.
  • Medical Malpractice previously was a reward for completing the "Deal Critical Hits to Enemies (0/150)" weekly challenge in Survival mode. The challenge was available from April 2–8, and from July 30 to August 8, 2019.
  • The standard loadout for the craftable version are a hair trigger receiver, stabilized long barrel, forceful grip, and reflex sight.
