Cannabis, more commonly known as marijuana or weed, is a psychoactive drug.
Background[]
Cannabis has a long history of use as a resource for its durable hemp fiber, seed and seed oils, and was used both medicinally and recreationally before and after the Great War. Marijuana was popular among many, including the hippie and beatnik communities, and with college students trying to unwind or party.[1]
After the Great War, marijuana has kept its reputation as a recreational drug wherever it can be grown. Myron will ask the player character if they have any weed, but the only location where it is known to have been used is New Reno,[2][3] and Arroyo.[4]
Appearances[]
Marijuana is mentioned in Fallout 2 and Fallout 76.
Behind the scenes[]
Marijuana was also supposed to appear in the Environmental Protection Agency building, but was cut from the final game along with the corresponding content.[Non-game 1]
