Ma June's Sundries is a location in the Fallout TV series.

Background[]

Owned and operated by the namesake Ma June for some time prior to 2296, the general goods store serves as a mainstay of the trading town of Filly in New California. In addition to various bits and bobs including old Vault-Tec products and merchandise, June also keeps a selection of weapons behind the store counter for sale including plasma pistols, a Junk Jet, laser muskets, etc. Due to the collapse of the New California Republic's economy around the greater Los Angeles area following the destruction of Shady Sands in 2283, stores like Ma June's returned to the tried-and-true barter system utilizing bottle caps with a prohibition on refunds.[1]

The Target[]

Lucy enters Ma June's Sundries and, at first, comments about how Ma June was selling Vault-Tec items and surmises that she must do business with criminals. Aside from Lucy's interest in a particular criminal, Ma June was more interested in the fact that Lucy was a Vault dweller and tried to call on her roommate Barv. As Lucy tries to ask Ma June about the criminal she is looking for, while Ma June beckons Barv, Lucy alerts Ma June when she drops Moldaver's name.

After closing her ledger and telling Barv to return to her room, Ma June then debates Lucy about her Vault naivete, who begs Ma June for any information on Moldaver. In the end, Ma June kicks Lucy out of her store, but as Lucy leaves, she runs into Siggi Wilzig, who she met at her campfire the other night in front of the store.

The two would briefly talk until Ma June walked out of her store. After confirming Wilzig's identity, she told him to enter her store and demanded that Lucy scram. However, the Ghoul, who sat on a chair close by to the store, accosts Wilzig, blows off his left foot, and in retaliation, Ma June puts a bounty on the Ghoul's head.

During the shootout between the Ghoul and the Filly townsfolk hoping to cash in on the bounty on the Ghoul's head. Lucy looked at Ma June's finance book and saw that Lee Moldavor's name was written in the book. She then confronts the Ghoul in front of the store and attempts to reason with him until Maximus appears inside a T-60 power armor. As Maximus distracted the Ghoul by fighting him, Lucy and Ma June carried Wilzig into the store's backroom, where Ma June demanded that Barv fetch a new leg. Though Barv complains that she was trying to eat her beans, she still agrees to do it.

As Ma June tries to get Wilzig comfortable on a chair with his leg up on the table, Barv eventually arrives with a Jim's Limbs crate, and Ma June uses one of them on his blown-off foot. Once it was agreed that Lucy would transport Wilzig to Moldaver and Ma June input Moldaver's coordinates into her Pip-Boy, the two left through the back door.

Afterward, the Ghoul entered Ma June's Sundries, where he spots a puddle of blood and a box of Jim's Limbs. Walking outside, the Ghoul finds the wounded CX404; he then takes CX404 into Ma June's Sundries and uses a stimpak on her, which revives her.

The Beginning[]

It is unknown if Ma June returned to her shop and continued business following the Ghoul's massacre. By early 2297, the town of Filly is taken over by the Brotherhood of Steel, with the store in particular converted into an armory stockpiling their weaponry.
