|For an overview of submachine gun models in the Fallout series of games, see submachine gun.|
|The following is based on Fallout Tactics and some details might contradict canon.|
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
The MP5 is the basic 9mm SMG. From there, most SMGs will either do more damage or have a longer range. The two raider SMGs, the UZI and the Scorpio, are both all-around weaker than the MP5, and the Walther MPL is the only SMG that has both the same range and higher damage than the MP5.
Locations[edit | edit source]
- Brahmin Wood, one carried by the main character.
- Freeport, one carried by O'Reilly.
- Peoria, one found on a raider's corpse.
- Junction City, two carried by Enforcers and one can be found in catacombs.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Heckler & Koch MP5 (From Maschinenpistole 5 - German: "machine pistol model 5") is a 9mm submachine gun of German design, developed in the 1960s by a team of engineers from the German small arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch GmbH (H&K) of Oberndorf am Neckar.
