Lucy's owner, known simply as a child in-game, is a young resident of Appalachia in 2103. She is mourning the recent loss of her cat, Lucy.

Background

Lucy's owner is a young Appalachian girl who once had a pet cat named Lucy. After Lucy was killed by a mole rat,[1] she decided to bury her in the wilderness alongside the cat's favorite toy, an alien.[2] Whether the girl has a family or lives alone in the wasteland is unknown.

Other interactions

Lucy's owner and the cat's grave are found during the Lucy the Cat's Grave object-type random encounter. Should the player character pick up the toy alien on Lucy's grave, the child will ask about the theft. One has an option to give it back or keep it. Deciding to keep it will cause her to cry and call the player character a monster. Deciding to give it back, the child will be pleased and give the player character a toy rocketship.
