Strike it rich or die trying! It's a miner's life for me.

Lucky Strike is a repeatable side quest in Fallout 76.

The player character starts this quest by reading maps bought from a U-Mine-It! vending machine or by looking at posters.

Quick walkthroughEdit

Fetch the right equipment (gas mask to avoid sludge lung), go to the digging site marked on the map and excavate away.

Detailed walkthroughEdit

On the world map, a small area in the Ash Heap or Savage Divide will be highlighted for the quest. Once the player has traveled there, a medium-sized mound of dirt will be present on the ground and can be interacted with. No special equipment is needed (such as a shovel or pickaxe).

Once in the area, the dig site can be difficult to spot, as it will move scenery with it. The player might have to be looking almost straight down to interact with it. Crouching can assist the register for the mound is closer to eye level.

Once the lump is interacted with, the quest will complete, awarding metal scrap (including lead, concrete, black titanium, gold, aluminum) which can be used in crafting.
