Love and Hate is a unique weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.

Love and Hate is a unique pair of knuckle-dusters that deal more damage than the standard variants. The attached spiked plates have the words "LOVE" and "HATE" embossed on them and are stained with blood. It is considered a holdout weapon, and can be carried concealed into weapons-free locations regardless of the Courier's Sneak skill.

Behind the scenes

Love and Hate are an homage to the Robert Mitchem character in the 1955 movie The Night of the Hunter, who has the words "LOVE" and "HATE" tattooed on the knuckles of his hands. A similar homage to the Mitchem character's tattoos appears in the Spike Lee movie Do the Right Thing.[1]
