Longfellow's cabin is a location in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor. It is a settlement that can be obtained by finishing the Walk in the Park quest.
While in build mode, the player will notice the buildable area is large, about one third the size of Spectacle Island, However using the full build area can be tricky due to sheer cliffs that drop into the water but one is able to build on the entire island, and not just around the main building.
Background
A small island directly north of Far Harbor is home to Longfellow and his cabin.
Layout
A small path leads through the wind, surf and rocks to the main path into his cabin. It is shallow enough through the shoals to not incur any radiation en route. The cabin is small, much like the bungalows present at Sunshine Tidings Co-op. Inside is a bed along with various household goods. Directly behind is the main workshop, along with a weapons workbench & power armor station. Fog condensers can be found surrounding the entire property along with a rickety wooden boardwalk along the cliffs above the shoreline. A half sunken ship is on the coast to the west of the house.
Notes
- If a trade caravan post is built, traders from the Commonwealth will arrive here
- Once settlers arrive, a Greenskins radiant quest may spawn, sending the Sole Survivor out to the Aldersea Day Spa.
- Note also one can create supply lines between the Longfellow's cabin and settlements in the Commonwealth, which is a nice detail, so as to use existing resources for building this new settlement.
- Take care when speaking to settlers here, one of the settlers may talk to you about needing to repair the fog condensers. When you agree to help, a group of high-level creatures will swarm the island and attack. These creatures include several gulpers, several anglers, and a pair of fog crawlers, including a legendary fog crawler. This fight can be extremely difficult, so be prepared.
