“You have learned how to pack mountains of gear for the long haul. Being over-encumbered no longer prevents you from using fast travel.”— In-game description
Long Haul is a perk in Fallout: New Vegas.
Effects
With this perk, being over-encumbered will not prevent the use of fast travel.
Notes
- Antithesis of Strong Back, Burden to Bear, Hoarder and Pack Rat. This perk only does anything when over-encumbered, so it's less useful when it's harder to become over-encumbered.
- It also works well with Travel Light, which, despite its name, increases movement speed even when over-encumbered. Atomic! can further increase over-encumbered movement speed.
- Carrying over 10,000 pounds of gear may cause severe lag when opening containers or searching corpses.
