The listening post is a location in the Fallout 3 add-on Operation: Anchorage.
Background[]
General Chase instructs the Lone Wanderer to clear the place of Chinese personnel, so the intelligence forces can access the equipment and begin decoding.[1]
Layout[]
Located on Calliway Ridge, the listening post is at the end of the abandoned mining town. The doors open to a hallway that leads to a room filled with generators and radios, which leads to another hallway. This second hallway leads to a room where Chinese soldiers are first encountered. There is also an intel suitcase on a shelf in the back. The stairs in the middle of the room lead up to another hallway. This hallway leads to a room with four invisible Crimson Dragoons waiting to ambush the Lone Wanderer. This room opens to an even larger room with a wave of Chinese soldiers. Heading up the stairs, one arrives at the main listening room with a Chinese technician inside. If the technician gets to the radio in the corner, two Crimson Dragoons will appear. There is a door in the corner that leads back outside, where more Chinese troops have appeared in an effort to retake the facility.
