List Office is the central labor office of Vault City.
Background[]
Employing a majority of the City's population and giving them something to do: Making and remaking lists ad nauseam.[1][2][3] It is also the hub of all administrative work in the city, keeping track of the City's status,[4] managing and routing supplies for its various departments, doing a decent job... If it has a good day. On a bad day, critical requisitions can be delayed and come in well after they are actually needed.[5]
Staff working in the office consider it a boring, thankless job.[6] The fact that it's practically a dumping ground for people whose positions are rendered obsolete by the City's increased automation and digitization doesn't help.[7]
