"Let's Go Sunning" is a song composed by Jack Shaindlin.
In the Fallout series[]
In Fallout 3 the song plays on Galaxy News Radio. In the game, the song seems to be shortened down compared to the original version.
It's also featured in the Fallout TV series at the beginning of episode 4: "The Ghouls" when The Ghoul and Lucy are walking among the ruins.
Background[]
The song was composed by Jack Shaindlin and originally performed in the 1954 nudist movie Garden of Eden by an unknown singer.
The film purported to be a docudrama about the nudist lifestyle. Infamously this movie was the subject of a lawsuit which resulted in the US Supreme Court deciding that mere nudity is not obscene, thus paving the way to an entire subgenre of films exploiting this loophole, the results of which were more mature films and later, more mature games such as Fallout 3.
Lyrics[]
Let’s go sunning
It’s so good for you
Let’s go sunning
Beneath the sky of blue
Greet the sun every morn
Feel as free and happy as the day you were born
Let’s go native
Sun your cares away
Be creative
Learn to live and play
Pretty flowers need the sun
This applies to everyone
Life’s worth living
When nature’s giving
Happiness to everyone
So let’s go sunning
Let’s go native
Sun your cares away
Be creative
Learn to live and play
Pretty flowers need the sun
This applies to everyone
Life’s worth living
When nature’s giving
Happiness to everyone
So let’s go sunning
