The large drum is a magazine weapon mod in Fallout 4.
Effects[]
When equipped on a submachine gun, the weapon appears with the "Maximum Capacity" prefix and a drum magazine that's almost twice the size of the medium magazine. It gains an ammo capacity increase of +50 shots before reloading and a 3% faster transition to aiming down sights at the cost of having a standard reload speed (minus rank 1 of Quick Hands) and a 10% increased AP cost in V.A.T.S.

Locations[]
The large drum modification cannot be found in the game world. It may appear equipped on submachine guns that spawn with raiders, Triggermen, Minutemen soldiers, members of the Neighborhood Watch in Goodneighbor, etc., as well as those sold by weapons vendors such as Arturo Rodriguez at the market in Diamond City. It can also be crafted at a weapons workbench.
