Kill Mayor is a quest in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.
Walkthrough
After a task to gain the Mayor's trust, Richard informs the Initiate that the Paladins went into the Carbon Crater and gives the Initiate an Elevator Key to go in after them. The Initiate must then search the crater for the Brotherhood, a quest that ends in futility. At the bottom of the crater the player finds that the information provided by Richard was false.
Richard will be waiting with a few raiders in a trap. He will inform the player that the raiders did not take kindly to the killing of their friends. Richard was faced with a choice: either set the player up or watch Carbon burn to the ground. Richard folded to the raiders' will. The player must now fight for his life.
Richard's only fighting tactic is throw a few grenades and then run to another location. While he is throwing grenades (usually 3 or 4 at a time) the player has a little time to attack him before the grenades explode. While Richard seems impervious to his own devices, the raiders are not so lucky. They can be ignored completely as they are relatively weak and only wielding melee weapons (with only a few possible shooters). Richard will end up killing or mortally wounding them anyway.
Notes
There are several cases of ammunition and several stimpaks in 3 corners of the cave and every raider in the fight will drop at least a few caps or ammunition when they die.
