Kevin Manning is a developer who worked at Obsidian Entertainment on Fallout: New Vegas as a character and weapon artist.
Career[]
Work on the Fallout series[]
Manning was one of the first artists to join the team at Obsidian Entertainment working on Fallout: New Vegas, and was the only character artist on the game for the first two months of pre-production. His responsibilities on the game included modeling, texturing, skins, and implementing character and creature assets. Although his title in the in-game credits did not change, Manning also served as the lead character artist on all of the game's add-ons.[1]
Manning developed 3D models for the Securitrons and the companion Rex,[2] as well as Mr. House.[1] He also modeled weapon and apparel items for the Great Khans, the Boomers, the NCR, Caesar's Legion, Powder Gangers and prostitute outfits, as well as the ghost people in Dead Money.[1] Additionally, Manning developed Vera Keyes' skeleton model for Dead Money, and the same process was later used to create the Y-17 trauma override harnesses in Old World Blues.[3]
Other work[]
In addition to his work in gaming, Manning has also worked in the film industry as a character artist and modeler. He also worked as a 3D artist at Riot Games beginning in 2019.
