Kane is the arms dealer of the Children of Atom at the Nucleus. He uses his position to keep the Children armed so that they may preserve the kingdom that they believe Atom gave them,[1] whether they need to fight heretics, cannibals, and/or the creatures of the Fog.[2]
A devout and zealous Child, he is quite pleased if Far Harbor becomes engulfed in the Fog,[3][4] and if Sister Gwyneth is executed (or believed to have been executed).[5][6][7]
↑Kane: "Wait. You're the one they're sayin' saw the Mother. Good omen. You looking for weapons? Ammo? Plenty of Gamma rounds." (Kane's dialogue)
↑The Sole Survivor: "Folks here seem pretty heavily armed for a religious organization." Kane: "Island's a dangerous place. Heretics, Trappers, beasts of the Fog. Atom may have granted us this kingdom, but He left it to us to preserve it. Now, can I show you something?" (The Sole Survivor's and Kane's dialogue)
↑Kane: "Hmph. What has Far Harbor done to merit Atom's mercy. Plenty of arms if you're thinking of taking care of matters yourself." (Kane's dialogue) Note: This line is spoken only if the crusade against Far Harbor is called off at the conclusion of the questReformation.
↑Kane: "Heard you took care of Sister Gwyneth. Heretic deserved what she got. Now, need a weapon?" (Kane's dialogue) Note: This line is spoken only if Sister Gwyneth is killed, or believed so, at the conclusion of the questThe Heretic.
↑Kane: "Hard to believe they let Gwyneth back through the door. Wouldn't expect that from the High Confessor. Now, need a weapon?" (Kane's dialogue) Note: This line is spoken only if Sister Gwyneth returns to Children of Atom at the conclusion of the questThe Heretic.
↑Kane: "Hmm. Seems someone ended Atom's peace. What a shame. Now, show you some arms?" (Kane's dialogue) Note: This line is spoken only under certain conditions.[verification needed]
