Jul acts as a guard of Vault 13 but is not a good speaker. His particular duty in the vault is to guard the deathclaw hatchery and the mother.

The Chosen One can insult him about his speaking or encourage him to keep up with his education. These seem to not affect Karma, though.
NotesEdit
When threatened, Jul returns it to "rip [the Chosen One's] head off and make watch me crap down throat," a subtle reference to 1987 movie Full Metal Jacket and later in 1989 Stand By Me. The quote is later used as one of Duke Nukem's taunts in Duke Nukem 3D.
