"Jose" was a member of a 28 person group of Mexican Great War survivors that took refuge in Zion Canyon in 2095.

"Jose" and a group of survivors came to Zion and settled there, claiming it to be paradise. Randall Clark, observing the refugees, suspected him to be the father of "Maria"'s unborn child. On October 10th, he broke his leg (a compound fracture) while chasing a bighorner.

Being too far from their camp for them to hear his cries for help, Clark, compelled to assist, approached the camp. At 300 yards, he made his best impersonation of Jose screaming, stringing them along until they could hear the real Jose. By the 11th, the fracture was infected, and they prayed to God for a miracle. On the 12th, Clark left a bottle of antibiotics on a rock near their camp. He resented how they thanked God for the antibiotics, but God still saw fit to burn the world.

By the 15th, his infection was gone and his leg was healing well, although he would have had to walk with a limp the rest of his life.[1] On February 11th, 2096, he was killed along with most of the survivors by the Vault 22 dwellers.[2] It is unknown if Jose was his real name, as it was a name given to him by Randall while observing them from afar.[1]

Jose is mentioned only in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts.
