John L. Sullivan is a retired boxer of Irish descent in the Golden Gecko pub in Klamath.
Background[]
A tall, older, man with muscular arms and a gray, but neatly groomed, handlebar mustache,[1] John Sullivan is a retired New Reno boxer, who settled down in Klamath and spends his time at the Golden Gecko tavern. John represents the Irishman stereotype, as it can be noticed through his drunkard behavior and his way of talking (notable quotes include "Here lad, have a drink on me, that's your ticket to the realms of the fay folk," or "When I was a wee young lad, an' dinnay have any sense in me thick head"). He is a warm, open fellow, who will gladly talk to people and drink a pint or two with them. He also has a knack for spotting talented fighters and teaching what he knows.
