Henry John Deutschendorf Jr., better known under the pseudonym John Denver, was an American singer and songwriter. He co-wrote with Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert and originally performed the 1971 song "Take Me Home, Country Roads".
In the Fallout series[]
A cover of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" by Spank appears in Fallout 76. John Denver's original version of the song also appears on the "Fallout Radio" Spotify playlist promoting the Fallout TV series, but not in the series itself.[1]
In the Denver design document for Van Buren, the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle Studios, the music to be used for the location is described as "Faint country feel (John Denver's Rocky Mountain High, etc.), of things being built and people living, but overwhelmed by a morose tune of loss."
