Jesse Farrell

Jesse Farrell is a developer who worked at Obsidian Entertainment on Fallout: New Vegas as an area designer.

Work on the Fallout series[]

Farrell designed the quest Crazy, Crazy, Crazy, partially designed Come Fly With Me,^[1] as well as writing most of the characters at the REPCONN test site,^[2] such as Chris Haversam,^[3] and much of the content at Black Mountain.^[4] He also designed and wrote for The King, Pacer, Rex, and other Freeside characters, as well as most of the Mojave Brotherhood of Steel members,^[5] including Paladin Hardin and Elder McNamara of the Brotherhood of Steel.^[6] He fleshed out and implemented Vault 22,^[7] designed the fight in Oliver's compound,^[8] and was one of the individuals to work on Hoover Dam.^[9] He also may have been responsible for setting up the encounters at the sacked caravans found during Heartache by the Number.^[10]

↑ Who wrote Davison? Even though it was a bit part, I liked that character a lot since it was the kind of thing you'd see in the first two Fallout games (ie talking heads with brief but memorable dialogue).
Joshua Sawyer: Strangely enough, that was one of the few minor characters John Gonzalez wrote. Jesse Farrell wrote most of the other characters in REPCONN Test Site.

↑ Some of the BoS characters are considered "good" rather than neutral - what gives?
Joshua Sawyer: Jesse Farrell (who made most of the BoS characters) probably considers some of them to be good.

Joshua Sawyer: I wrote the basic concepts for F:NV's vaults but individual designers fully fleshed the concepts out and implemented them. Vault 3: Akil Hooper, Vault 11: Eric Fenstermaker, Vault 19: Sydney Wolfram. Vault 21: Jorge Salgado. Vault 22: Jesse Farrell, Vault 34: Sydney Wolfram.
