Jeff Lane was a member of the Cult of the Mothman who recorded the holotapes Interloper and The Chosen.

BackgroundEdit

Before the war, Jeff Lane was a man from Texas who had become obsessed with the legend of the Mothman, so much so that he moved to West Virginia and joined the Cult of the Mothman in Point Pleasant to complete his search.[1] He would spread the "gospel" of the cult by handing out free posters and other Mothman memorabilia when he could.[2] However, after the Great War, Lane found a new purpose, one that he believed to be far greater than Mothman, an entity that was more than flesh like him or the Mothman. He left Point Pleasant in search of this entity he would later call the Interloper.[3]

Following visions he believed were sent to him by the Interloper, Jeff Lane made his way to Lucky Hole mine. Creating a makeshift bed for the night, he traveled deeper into the mine to find the entity he had been seeking since the start of the war and complete the ritual for the unknowable truths.[4]

AppearancesEdit

Jeff Lane is mentioned only in Fallout 76.
