Jackson was the mayor of the Quincy ruins before the Gunners' takeover of the town.[1]

He was the one responsible for the summoning of the Minutemen, following one of Mama Murphy's visions.[2] He was overjoyed when Colonel Hollis' group showed up just in time to defend against the Gunners, offering his own house to be used as barracks.[3]
