It allows the player to add a 10% damage bonus against Institute members and synths to most clothing and some under armor, similar to the ballistic weave mod. It is unlocked after the completion of the Randolph Safehouse questline.

- Unlike the ballistic weave, the Institute Killer weave acts like a single mod item, rather than a skill, and thus does not require any extra materials to be applied to an item, however it can only be applied to one item at a time.
- This mod cannot be applied until the player has gained access to ballistic weave, by completing one or more of the Jackpot quests.
