The Institute Central Network is a computer network system that operates within the Institute's facilities.
Background[]
A post-War creation, the Institute Central Network is widely used throughout the Institute, whether on private personal terminals or public departmental terminals, with each member of the Institute carrying a personalized ID for login access purposes. The pre-War Commonwealth Institute of Technology utilized a similar computer network amongst its students and staff.[1]
Usernames[]
Usernames for most human members of the Institute on the Institute Central Network follow the form Last.F, where Last is the user's last name and F is the user's first initial. The exception to this is the Institute's director, who has the login ID "DIRECTOR." For synths, their login information is the same as their designation code.
