Good luck, you get to room with Jerry the mouth.

Initiates are trainee soldiers for the Brotherhood of Steel at Lost Hills in 2161.

Initiates are the lowest ranking members of the Brotherhood. Anyone recruited into the Brotherhood of Steel starts at the rank of initiate, and is mentored by a higher-ranking sponsor,[1] while children born into the Brotherhood of Steel begin their training, and indoctrination, as squires.[2]

Initiates train and learn to become knights or scribes (or lancers after their creation). Once they finish their training, they choose their path of development.[3][4][5][6][7][8]

These initiates work hard and study, some get to go on patrol with the paladins. With years of dedication they become senior initiates.[9] Ones that are bunking with Jerry "the mouth" tend to have a hard time sleeping.[10] He is known for his inability to be silent,[11][12] even when he is asleep. Should the Vault Dweller join the order he will be bunked with Jerry, as his last roommate had to get a transfer.[13]
