The Imposter Sheepsquatch is a robot found in Appalachia.
Background[]
This modified Assaultron unit was developed by Calvin van Lowe in his attempt to hunt down the fabled Sheepsquatch cryptid. It was designated "Mary's Little Lamb" by the Bysshe Company, who sponsored the project as part of a bid to drive down real estate values in Lewisburg.[1][2]
The project team consisted of Calvin (codenamed Blacksheep) as the main developer, Bo-Peep as the handler, and Big Bad Wolf as the fixer.[3] After initiating a mating protocol[4] and maiming Calvin van Lowe, the Imposter Sheepsquatch escaped containment. Big Bad Wolf attempted to contain the rogue Assaultron using prototype anti-robot technology developed by the Garrahan Mining Company[5][6] at the pylon ambush site. He ultimately failed, but left an automated message for anyone to finish where he left off.[7]
Another variant of the Imposter Sheepsquatch, dubbed the "Sheepsquatch Imposterling," was created not by Calvin van Lowe, but by the Imposter Sheepsquatch itself. The Sheepsquatch Imposterling was a generic assaultron unit encountered by the Imposter Sheepsquatch and subsequently given a backdoor installation of the "mating rituals" and a directive to kill any Bysshe Company employees on sight. The Imposterling was given another subdirective to report any and all assaultron sightings to the "mother unit" so that the cycle of "reproduction" could continue.[8] Ultimately, the Imposterling ended up sealed within the lower areas of the Bysshe natural gas pipeline facility in the Harpers Ferry tunnel,[9] and was destroyed in 2104 by a Vault Dweller from Vault 76 and Paladin Leila Rahmani.[10]
Characteristics[]
The Imposter Sheepsquatch is invisible and invulnerable until the three pylons nearby are activated. Activating a pylon places a damaging effect on the player character who activated it and notifies all event participants of who has activated which pylon if they have the event tracked. The Imposter Sheepsquatch becomes visible and loses its invulnerability as long as all three pylons are all active. If any of the pylons become deactivated through the death of the player character who activated it, the imposter Sheepsquatch becomes invisible and invulnerable again. The pylon damage will not finish off downed players, and they still contribute to disabling the imposter's shields.
- The eye laser fired by the Imposter Sheepsquatch will ignite the ground, creating a mild fire hazard.
- The Imposter Sheepsquatch is completely immune to limb damage and crippling effects.
- The Imposter Sheepsquatch is bugged to have 100% armor penetration on all of its attacks.
- % damage reduction perks and effects, particularly Troubleshooter's armor, are the only ways to reduce its damage.
