Dr. Horace Pinkerton is a 60-year old inhabitant of Rivet City, mysterious and elusive in the rusty Broken Bow in 2277.

Background

Pinkerton is one of the founders of Rivet City, but moved to the bow of the ship because of the annoyance that the people of the city were giving him. He also performed facial reconstruction surgery and a mind wipe on Harkness, an android, to help him hide from the Commonwealth. He is the only person in the Capital Wasteland who has the skills to do so.

Pinkerton was born in the year 2217.

Interactions with the player character

Quest: Wasteland Survival Guide

Pinkerton will give information on the origins of Rivet City, to satisfy an optional part of The Wasteland Survival Guide for the history of the city.

Quest: The Replicated Man

Main article: The Replicated Man

Pinkerton will give information about the android and can perform facial reconstruction surgery on the Lone Wanderer, though he cannot alter race.

Pinkerton is an essential NPC only while The Replicated Man quest is active.

Notes

• His personal computer terminal may be a bit difficult to locate - it is wall-mounted to the left of the X-ray displays.

• In one of Doctor Pinkerton's journals in his terminal it says that he stole a memory chip from Vault 112, although the missing memory chip can't be found.

Appearances

Pinkerton only appears in Fallout 3.
