Homer Smith is a man supposedly leading Les to the Menkey Butte Mine.

Homer and Jebidiah Smith, who appear to be related, had not led Les to Menkey Butte Mine; they actually led him to the Sterling Bros Mine in an attempt to dupe him. Jebidiah was shot by Les without hesitation. Homer, who Les described as a cornered rabbit and unprepared life in the wasteland, was left staring death in face and in desperation claimed he could draw a map to the Menkey Butte Mine. Les saw through his lie and shot him in the eye.[1]
