In the year 1945, my great-great grandfather, serving in the army, wondered when he'd get to go home to his wife and the son he'd never seen. He got his wish when the US ended World War II by dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.Nate, Fallout 4

Hiroshima was a city in Japan.

Background

On August 6, 1945, the Little Boy nuclear bomb was deployed onto Hiroshima. This was the first time in history that a nuclear weapon was used for purposes of warfare.

Hiroshima is mentioned in the Citadel laboratory terminals, where it is said that Liberty Prime's presence on the Anchorage battlefield would have the same effect on the Chinese as the bombing of Hiroshima had on the Japanese.[1]

Hiroshima's nuclear bomb, Little Boy, is mentioned in Gun Runners' Arsenal in Fallout: New Vegas as the modification, Fat Man Little Boy kit.

Hiroshima is further mentioned in Fallout 4 during the intro, as the end of World War II.[2]

In the introduction of Fallout Tactics, the fragment of Harry S. Truman's radio report to the American People on the Potsdam Conference[3] where he says that The world will note that the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, a military base.[4] can be heard.

Appearances

Japan is mentioned in Fallout 3, the introduction of Fallout Tactics, and the introduction of Fallout 4.
