|For an overview of tire irons, see Tire iron.|
The Highwayman's Friend manages to dish out more damage than a normal tire iron, along with benefiting from its fast attack speed. However, it is two pounds heavier than the standard variant.
The Highwayman's Friend can successfully strike about 1000 times from full condition before breaking.

Behind the scenes
A "(insert profession's) friend" is a fairly common way to refer to that profession's most-used tool. See, for example, "plumber's friend". A highwayman is a robber who preys on travelers, although in this case, it is also in reference to the Highwayman vehicle obtainable in Fallout 2.
Sometimes, the weapon will not spawn. [verified]
