Highway 93 (or Route 93 or the 93) is an old freeway in the Mojave Wasteland.

Layout

In 2281, Highway 93 is a highway along the eastern part of the Mojave Wasteland. According to the New Vegas map, Highway 93 enters the Wasteland near Legate's camp as a two lane road. It then crosses the Colorado River along Hoover Dam, entering Nevada. On the NCR side of the Dam, it begins to twist and turn through the hills toward Boulder City. Once in Boulder City, it passes west between the Boulder City ruins, Big Horn Saloon, and the Boulder City train station.

As it leaves town, it becomes a four-lane freeway, intersecting with Highway 95 at the 188 trading post. The route merges with Highway 95 west of the trading post, as it continues northwest toward the Grub n' Gulp rest stop. A short length north of the rest stop, it becomes a damaged elevated freeway that cannot be traversed (however there is a frontage road on the west side of the freeway). It then turns northeast toward Freeside. Once in Freeside, it leaves Highway 95 and merges with northbound I-15 at a destroyed intersection. The highway then leaves the Wasteland near Nellis Air Force Base. Outside the Wasteland, the highway diverges from I-15 to head further north and runs through Caliente.

Notes

In 2281, it's not as frequently traveled as I-15 and Highway 95. Deathclaws may spawn around Lake Mead depending on the player character's level.

Appearances

Highway 93 appears only in Fallout: New Vegas and is mentioned in the add-on Honest Hearts.

Behind the scenes

Highway 93 is the real-life U.S. Route 93.
