Each level of the Heave Ho! Perk will give your thrown weapons an additional +2 Strength for purposes of determining range only.— in-game description, Fallout

Heave Ho! is a perk in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Fallout: New Vegas and J.E. Sawyer's Fallout Role-Playing Game.

Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics[edit | edit source]

With each level of this perk, the player character will gain +2 Strength (up to 10) for purposes of determining range with Throwing weapons only, yet it will not exceed a weapon's maximum range.

Notes[edit | edit source]

Range is calculated as (3x Strength). Since grenades have a maximum range of 15, this perk is pretty useless with a Strength above 3.

Fallout: New Vegas[edit | edit source]

With this perk, the player character's throwing velocity and range increase by 50% with all thrown weapons (melee or explosive) and Explosives weapons that fire in an arc, such as the grenade launcher or Fat Man, as well as incinerators.

Despite having Explosives as a requisite skill, this perk also benefits certain non-explosive weapons as well, such as throwing spears.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • This perk does not improve V.A.T.S. accuracy against targets.
  • The image for this perk is reused content from the cut Throwing skill from Fallout 3.

J.E. Sawyer's Fallout Role-Playing Game[edit | edit source]

With each level of this perk, your throwing range is increased by +2.
