The following is based on information from Fallout Shelter or Fallout Shelter Online. |
The hardened Gauss rifle is a weapon that appears in Fallout Shelter.
Background[]
Designed as a type of projectile accelerator, a Gauss rifle uses an magnetic momentum-transfer system to accelerate projectiles to extreme velocities capable of impacting a target from moderate-to-long ranges. The weapon class was named in honor of the German mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss, the namesake of numerous technologies named after his work in magnetism.
Characteristics[]
The hardened Gauss rifle is an improved coil gun featured in Fallout Shelter that fires shards of metal at high speeds using magnetic coils that are powered by microfusion cells. Dealing a minimum of 16 damage per attack, it has the highest damage output for a projectile-based rifle in the game.
