The hard hat is a piece of headwear in Fallout 76. It comes in a variety of colors.
Characteristics[]
Hard hats are protective head equipment commonly used by workers to prevent injury from falling debris or other hazards. In-game, however, they serve only a cosmetic purpose, as they do not give any sort of damage resistance whatsoever. They are available in multiple colors, but the most commonly found hard hats in Appalachia are greenish-blue.

- Three on a shelf in the Uncanny Caverns welcome building.
- Two at Sylvie & Sons logging camp, worn by some skeletons.
All color variations are sold randomly by Sunny, at Foundation. This is the only source of the black variant.- One blue hard hat can be found in the Carleton Mine, near a skeleton in a dump truck that fell into a water-filled cavern, right before meeting with Lou during the quest Cheating Death.
- Four orange hard hats and five blue hard hats can be found scattered inside the Grafton Steel Underground during the quest Fun and Games.
