The HalluciGen gas canister is a junk item in Fallout 4.

Characteristics

A cylindrical metal canister containing green HalluciGen gas. It can be used to craft HalluciGen gas grenades.

Notes

Since the canister can be scrapped for one unit of steel, it can be scrapped unintentionally while using a workshop or any other workbench. This can be avoided by not storing the items in a settlement's workbench inventory, or reviewing the list of scrapped items when building in the settlement.
